Microsoft announced that they will be rolling out new MDM capabilities for Office 365 in Q1 2015. These new MDM capabilities will allow IT administrators to manage and control Office 365 data using Microsoft Intune.
These capabilities include:
- passcode lock
- jailbreak detection
- perform selective wipe of Office 365 data while leaving personal content and apps intact
- prevent unauthorized users from accessing corporate email and data when a device is lost or stolen
These new capabilities will also become available for OWL customers who run Office 365 as a managed service and ODS customers who run Intune as a managed service.
