Adobe Flash Player Version 19.0.0.245 Released

​Adobe Flash Player ​version 19.0.0.245 has been released by Adobe Systems.  Adobe Flash Player is a cross-platform browser-based application runtime that is required for viewing of certain applications, content, and videos.

 

Flash Player

  • The value of flash.ui.Multitouch.supportsTouchEvents is not compatible with Windows 8.1/10

  • Video is paused on clicking outside the browser containing flash in Windows 10



Known Issues

  • Some content displayed on usaflashmap.com is displayed in black

  • Flash content freezes when user inputs multitouch on a 4k multitouch screen using the Edge browser

  • The candidate window can be displayed in the wrong position when inputing CCJK characters on the Edge browser

  • Embedded Flash objects stop working in SMART notebook applications

 



Security Updates


Adobe has released security updates for Adobe Flash Player.  These updates address critical vulnerabilities that could potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.

  • Adobe recommends users of the Adobe Flash Player Desktop Runtime for Windows update to Adobe Flash Player 19.0.0.245
  • Adobe Flash Player installed with Google Chrome will be automatically updated to the latest Google Chrome version, which will include Adobe Flash Player 19.0.0.245 on Windows.
  • Adobe Flash Player installed with Microsoft Edge for Windows 10 will be automatically updated to the latest version, which will include Adobe Flash Player 19.0.0.245.
  • Adobe Flash Player installed with Internet Explorer 10 and 11 for Windows 8.0 and 8.1 will be automatically updated to the latest version, which will include Adobe Flash Player 19.0.0.245.

  • These updates resolve a type confusion vulnerability that could lead to code execution (CVE-2015-7659).

  • These updates resolve a security bypass vulnerability that could be exploited to write arbitrary data to the file system under user permissions (CVE-2015-7662).

  • These updates resolve use-after-free vulnerabilities that could lead to code execution (CVE-2015-7651, CVE-2015-7652, CVE-2015-7653, CVE-2015-7654, CVE-2015-7655, CVE-2015-7656, CVE-2015-7657, CVE-2015-7658, CVE-2015-7660, CVE-2015-7661, CVE-2015-7663, CVE-2015-8042, CVE-2015-8043, CVE-2015-8044, CVE-2015-8046).
