Users may not recall installing Quicktime on their PC. In many cases, Apple installed Quicktime as part of a bundle of software that is installed when the user downloads iTunes. Therefore, PC users who run iTunes should check to see if Quicktime is installed on their PCs.
Fortunately, there have been no reports to date of hackers successfully exploiting these vulnerabilities. But users are still urged to uninstall Quicktime from all PCs immediately.
There is no evidence at this time that Apple devices running Quicktime are affected by this vulnerability.
